Dead Pixel

Dead Pixel Test

Intended to detect whether there is a dead pixel or stuck pixel defect on the device screen.

How it looks

Dead pixels are defects of LCD production. These can be caused by misalignment, improper cuts of the components, and even dust particles landing on LCD matrix can lead to “dead pixels”.
This dead pixel can be detected like there is a bright dot on dark color screen or dark dot on a bright color screen. So, try to find the bright dot on dark color such black or blue or a dark dot on bright color such as white or green. Count them and decide is it Pass or Fail according to company standard.

AUTO Color button
The human brain can detect differences more quickly if the source of the images being compared changes dynamically rather than still images. Therefore, a special AUTO button is provided for this specific reason which will change the background color automatically and gradually so that the human eye can detect defects on the screen more quickly. This AUTO gradually change the color background feature also serve as the default when the page loads.
Acceptable dead pixel standard
There is no one clear industry standard regarding an acceptable level of dead pixels. Each LCD screen manufacturer and each laptop maker have their own dead pixel standards.
